Review on Zalman Performa Performance Powerful Included by Rusna Djanur Buana ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing unusual, normal product.

The quality of the sole leaves much to be desired. The surface is not polished and curved. I found out by leaning against the mirror - it sways! I did not level it, I relied on thermal paste) Heat pipes have contact with the sole only on one side. The mounting system to the motherboard in my opinion is extremely unsuccessful. Everything is done in such a way that the rear mounting bracket does not distribute the weight of the cooler on the motherboard. I even wanted to leave the back bar from the boxed version, because. it is much more functional and does not allow the board to bend under the weight of the cooler. But unfortunately, the fastening bolts turned out to be not interchangeable, and when trying to trick it - the old bar cracked in the thread area. After installing the entire system, the board does not seem to bend much, but the fact that the entire load is concentrated at one point (in the center of the processor) does not inspire confidence. As for the thermal paste - it is more than enough! When mounting the heatsink on the processor, the paste was squeezed out from all sides very plentifully. Enough for one more install. One RAM slot on the MSI K9A2GM still blocked. I have a memory with high heatsinks, perhaps without a heatsink it would have stood up, but there is no desire to check. The propeller from the kit is poorly centered and quite noisy at 900 rpm and above. I'm not in a hurry to change it, first I will lower the speed to the minimum possible - we'll see how it behaves. I made a small experiment - passive mode of operation: Disabled all hull propellers (only 80mm left on the PSU) No load works fine, only noticeably warmed up. With case fans it also noticeably heats up. After turning on the propeller, it cooled down in 15-20 seconds. In the active mode, it does not heat up at all, and the boxed one, even in idle mode, was noticeably warm. In general, the passive mode of operation "does not shine" for me. All the same, 90 watts should be cooled normally. I think pebbles of 45 watts can be left in the passive. In general, the purchase is more than satisfied. He copes with the task perfectly. I take off a star for the curved sole and another one for the curved fan.

Pros
  • Excellent cooling for AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Good equipment Climbed into 3R System R240 GRACE 180mm wide (4-5mm gap left)
Cons
  • With a native cooler noisier than the box-version ((( Curved outsole. Not well-thought-out mounting system to the motherboard. Vibrates noticeably at any speed (900 and above) Blocked one RAM slot. The quality of my copy is 3+
