I did a lot of research to find a laptop stand that would help me get from sitting to standing and that is also portable. In the end I really liked this one because it can be quite big. I've seen pictures of someone comparing their height to a loaf of bread. I was impressed because most table adjusters are too short and I have to look down. (I have tension in my neck and shoulders and looking down makes it worse.) After much viewing and asking my husband, although it seemed a bit difficult, I decided on this one carry around. But here's my rating: PROS: Very durable. I was impressed how durable it was. It was able to slide all the way out and even hold my laptop almost vertically, and it felt like someone had to knock it over on purpose. The base is solid so it won't be too heavy. Because of this, it is heavier than most laptop stands. It looks good and doesn't take up as much space as traditional sit-stand desks. The height adjustment is also very versatile and unlike those that are preset. You can adjust and tilt it pretty much as you like. CONS: It's actually a little heavier than I thought it would be. I weighed 3.5 kg on the scales. One of the biggest disadvantages is that force is traded for high voltage to move the loops. Since I have tendonitis, that was a turning point. It took too much strength to move it from the stowed position to the open position and remove it. The man in the video they made is probably a lot stronger, which is why it looks so easy. Tension in the hinges also prevents it from fully collapsing. It still leaves a decent gap when trying to close it all the way down. I think this could be mitigated by providing the option of tension knobs instead. I wish it came with an optionally attached keyboard/mouse tray as well. That would make it even better. I would have liked it if it wasn't for the high tension and my own tendinitis issues. However, this will be sent back.
