Warning: I'm not a gamer, I'm a programmer. who loves mechanical keyboards. Pros (for me) - Pretty nice keyboard font. - Tactile but non-clicking switches (similar to Cherry Browns) - Quiet, especially with O-rings installed. This keyboard could be a good option for an office where noise is an issue. - O-rings are included (you need to install them yourself) - Beautiful white backlight - When caps lock is on, caps lock turns green - Key switches claim exceptional durability. Cons: - Cheap short and thin keycaps. These are nothing but excellent replacement keycap sets that Razer sells separately. Well, at least the font on it is cute. - There is almost no tactile influence of the switches. You can feel it if you press the button very slowly, but at normal speed I see almost no feedback. In that sense they are very similar to Cherry Browns. (My base for this kind of tactile/non-click keyswitches is Holy Pandas, a pretty high bar) - The keyboard isn't very heavy (especially compared to some other TKL keyboards like RedRagon or CoolerMaster). (Typically for me, the heavier the keyboard, the better. (Your preference may differ.) - Biggest con for me: Secondary (shifted) characters are low on the keys and not backlit, and quite small (hard to see) actually it looks like the minor characters are just drawn and not even transparent, !@#$ and similar characters need to be transparent, placed higher, closer to the major characters 1234 (etc.) In order for them to be highlighted properly. For example: pausebreakkey was done correctly and both words are well highlighted. That's how all keys should have been done. Good keycaps often show both the primary and toggled key symbols highlighted, so this is a pretty cheap shortcut that Razer uses I'd have one You can buy a better set of keys, but that will increase the cost to the point where you can just buy a similar keyboard made by An be supplied with keycaps of the desired quality. keyboard.- Keyboard ti This is only one possibility. The best keyboards allow this in both directions, allowing you to lift up either the front or the back of the keyboard. Summary: In the offer I think it's a good price. There are probably better wholesale keyboards out there. I find the Red Dragon TKL keyboard paired with the keycap set sold by Razer plus the additional set of dual O-rings to be a slightly more satisfying keyboard overall. (Much heavier keyboard, solderless switches with swappable switches (within the Outemu bug). Of course, the actual lifespan of the switch remains to be seen. Some suggestions for Razer: Sell it with a better, thicker set of keys. Place the secondary (shifted) characters higher on the keys so they can be backlit Add an extra USB port Make the keyswitch sockets solderless (replaceable) Make it a little heavier (similar to Drop Ctrl but half the price) Make it a keyboard tilt for both sides (particularly ergonomic, _away_ from the user)
