Youth. The adhesive makes installation quick and easy. However, the adhesive does not stick well to certain materials and is not strong enough to keep a child completely out of the drawer/cabinet unless you use multiple latches per drawer/cabinet. The glue worked best on our wooden cabinets and drawers. We tried using it with our fridge as well, but the latch eventually fell off. If you just need to keep one drawer or cabinet closed, this will work. If you are 100% committed to keeping a child out of a closet or drawer, it probably won't work unless it's a baby/toddler.
