I have never seen or heard of a cooling blanket before. I'm one of those people that has to have a sheet or something covering me when I sleep. Then I wake up hot kicking it off, then get cold pull it back on. No idea why, just always been like that as far as I can remember. So this sounded like a really cool thing for me. I've been using it a few weeks now, and it's cool as soon as I pull it up. And it stays cool. Few times I've had to pull a sheet over it and/or turn the a/c down a bit. It's soft and very lightweight. I have no idea how it works, but I'm very happy with it. Have to pick one up for my daughter since she's always complaining she's hot-but yet she has 3 blankets piled on her. One of these days I'll break the news to her she's turning out just like me ;)
