but that's to be expected with such budget keyboards. Overall

The keyboard itself is built to an impressive value. I installed it as a standalone reader/keyboard. We'll see how it holds up in a few years with -20F in winter and 100F in summer. What worries me the most is how it will be connected and routed. The board leaves no room for cables between it and the keyboard. Other keyboards I've used leave enough room for the ports to be hidden directly behind the keyboard rather than in the wall. With this keyboard, the wiring comes out of the keyboard as a single bundle of wires (rather than several small wires). The downside is that all of your connections have to be pushed back into the wall. The hole in the mounting plate is too small for one type of connector - I had to drill my own. The user manual (actually a booklet) is written in broken English, but that's to be expected from budget keyboards like this one. .Overall: The installation and programming is a bit tedious, but the price-performance ratio is right.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Without Automation
