We are building a homemade camper out of a Ram Promaster raised roof and just received this blind. I've seen something similar on other class C vans and knew I wanted it. This means that no heat from the sun penetrates the van through the windshield. What I REALLY LOVE about this shade are the SCREEN BUG SCREEN side windows! This allows for plenty of welcome airflow through the open windows! It also lets light through so you can see it's not a full blackout. But it does a great job of keeping the cabin cool. We already use this every day when we redesign the interior. First, when it's on, you can't open the front doors because the vinyl is tight. It is OK for me! It's better to be tight-fitting than loose and flexible! We will still use the sliding side door when parking. I will ALWAYS take it off when I'm not around to guard it. I'm afraid he's growing "legs" and walking, if you know what I mean. It is now a valuable piece of "camp equipment". People will come and talk to you about it!
