The best thing about this product is the "set and forget" principle. We wanted to use them for a change in our decoration this Christmas. The units have a 4 hour and 6 hour schedule option which was perfect. We used the six-hour variant, where the light comes on for six hours, then goes off for 18 hours and repeats. By turning on the lights at sunset in this mode, we didn't have to deal with it (apart from replacing dead batteries) for the holidays. They simply turned on (around 6pm) and off (around midnight) on the same 24 hour cycle. The only catch for IT is that there is no "time" awareness. To start the cycle for the first time, you must be there at the desired time of day (in our case 6:00 p.m.). Otherwise we just set them and forget them. Definitely a winner. Just make sure you buy a good supply of AAA batteries. Each candle needs 3.
