I have an adjustable ND filter that I always use for most of my waterfall shots. The upcoming hike should last 10 hours and start before sunrise. I wanted to be able to shoot long exposures and also get rid of the extra flare in most of my shots. I wasn't sure if this filter would work for my purposes. I ordered it anyway and the day before our hike I wanted to test the filter at a waterfall and see if it didn't work the way I wanted. I could always go back to my ND variable that I used before. The filter is much better than I expected. I used it throughout the 10 hour hike. Most likely it will completely replace my previous ND. Photos should be all the evidence you need! Using CPL in difficult lighting moments gave me the few extra light stops I needed to create the perfect waterfall scene.
