Review on ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Black Rode NTG2 Condenser Shotgun Microphone, Multi-Powered by Alfreada Leotta

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If one XLR pin is longer than the other two, don't worry.

FYI: If you notice that pin 1 on the mic is longer than the others, don't worry. This is a design feature of all or most Rode XLR microphones. Here's from the Rode website: Why is one pin of an XLR connector longer than the other two? It is in order? Yes, this is perfectly normal and a design feature of the Rร˜DE microphone. The XLR ground pin (pin 1) is slightly longer than the other two pins. This is to ensure that when an XLR is plugged into a microphone's XLR jack, the first pin to make contact is the ground pin. This feature is implemented in all Rร˜DE microphones to protect the microphone circuitry from static electricity short circuits that could potentially damage the microphone circuitry.
