I should point out -- WHO CAN ATTACH BLACK CORDING TO A WHITE GOLD LAMP?! This is a serious disadvantage of these lamps! They are almost all white. Who would have thought black cord would make sense here? I personally placed each lamp on a white table, so the black cord really makes a difference. I solved this problem by placing the lamps at the back of the shelves and then using white zip ties to hide the cable behind the shelf. Now it looks really fantastic. In my opinion, despite the black cable, these lamps are beautiful and have a great price. I looked at about 60 lamps and settled on this one. They look great and are much cheaper than comparable models. My favorite part is the cord. It is easy to pull and makes a pleasant sound/feel when the lamp is turned on or off. It doesn't knock the lamp over at all and is very easy.
