The description says it is 100% cotton but it is not. According to the label it is 100% polyester. The fabric was too stiff - it had an odd shape even when empty. The straps are too thin, they have no padding so if you have something heavy it will dig into your shoulders. It's not intended as a laptop backpack, but according to the backpack specs, it should fit a 13" laptop. I thought it could be used as both a laptop bag and a backpack but the laptop doesn't fit. I bought a Lawson Herschel backpack instead and returned this one, it's much nicer.
