Review on 🌑️ Equus 6262 2" Electrical Water Temperature Gauge, Black: Accurate Readings for Optimal Engine Performance by Kirt Phillips

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Temperature transmitter unit defective.

Installed on my truck where the original temp sensor was broken. This resulted in ridiculously high temperatures in the 260 degree range. I then tested this on a number of food/meat thermometers (3) and this instrument consistently showed much higher temperatures. It wasn't easy hooking this unit up to battery power etc to achieve this, but the cooking thermometers were consistent, the Equus reading was much higher. I ordered a new Equus 9835 temp sensor, I think it was around $13 and now I'm getting realistic temp readings. It seems like a reasonable unit that's easy to install until you start draining/refilling etc which is a bit of a hassle but I want this unit to work the first time I use it rather than spend more money to get one get a new channel, and then try the installation process again.
