Good inexpensive temperature sensor

Liked it so much I bought a second one for my tractor! Nothing fancy or fancy, just does the job! The kit does not include wire, so be prepared. Comes with a pair of thread adapters.

Great addition to your car

This is a good sensor for any car. I have an old truck, the sensor didn't work and I installed it instead. Installed easily under my dash and installation was very easy. Works great, no problems.

Nice little gauge for gauge kits

I need a basic 2 inch gauge to monitor the temperature in my 70 Nova. This sensor was simple and fit the bill. Hookup was easy, the transmitter came with several adapters, and the bulb could be replaced with an LED, which I did. Time will tell the accuracy and durability of the sensor but so far I am very happy with it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Empty

cheap and accurate electric

I don't know how they sell this caliber for so little money. Reading the reviews it seems that some are incorrect and you need to change the sender. But mine fits my laser thermometer. And I like the plastic mounting ring with "screws" as opposed to the old school metal corner that required you to attach nuts where you couldn't see what you were doing.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works perfectly! on sensors

I have a 1988 Oldsmobile 98 3800 LN3 engine and have never had a water temp sensor in it. Just stupid light. So I decided I should get it with 216,000 miles on it. I didn't have a mechanical temperature sensor as the sensor is electrical only. (I prefer mechanical gauges) Seems to work pretty cool, but not sure how accurate it is. I don't have a heater for some reason and have replaced the thermostat with a factory AcDelco unit but it still only heats up to 180 and that's it. So this gauge was…

Very accurate and good quality.

Good price, easy installation and very accurate sensor. A minor issue was tightening the locking ring on the back of the gauge. But overall I would recommend this item. I bought this to replace an old alcohol filled lamp that had failed. Switching to power allowed me to get rid of two feet of flexible pipe under the dash. As I am happy with this unit I will now buy an electric oil pressure gauge as the one I have now has an oil line going to the dashboard. I don't like the possibility of an oil

Replaces the old W200 temp sensor

Firstly there is no need to purchase a separate temp sensor assembly, this package comes with one as well as multiple adapters to suit your metric or SAE standard. I bought an H20 gauge to replace a faulty outdated cluster gauge on my 1971 W200. The unit works well with simple 12vdc wiring and I don't have to mess around with VR in the gas gauge. All you need is a wire (I used 18ga for the transmitter and 12ga for the under dash tie) to run from the transmitter through the firewall to the…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • ill thought out

Temperature transmitter unit defective.

Installed on my truck where the original temp sensor was broken. This resulted in ridiculously high temperatures in the 260 degree range. I then tested this on a number of food/meat thermometers (3) and this instrument consistently showed much higher temperatures. It wasn't easy hooking this unit up to battery power etc to achieve this, but the cooking thermometers were consistent, the Equus reading was much higher. I ordered a new Equus 9835 temp sensor, I think it was around $13 and now I'm…
