Firstly there is no need to purchase a separate temp sensor assembly, this package comes with one as well as multiple adapters to suit your metric or SAE standard. I bought an H20 gauge to replace a faulty outdated cluster gauge on my 1971 W200. The unit works well with simple 12vdc wiring and I don't have to mess around with VR in the gas gauge.
