An unreasonably fast laptop at a reasonable price.

I'm not going to write an extra long review just what I was interested in what kind of laptop it is and what it isn't. Pro: Insane performance per dollar. Making the most of things like Diablo 3, WoW, Overwatch, DOOM, various source engine games (TF2, Halflife 2, Black Mesa, etc.) will be smooth as butter. This is a device that almost replaces a desktop computer. Pros: One of the best non-mechanical keyboards on the market. Long reach and responsive buttons. Pros: Lighter than I expected. It's not an ultra-thin laptop, but it's very handy when you're traveling. Pros: Premium FeelPro: Great display. This is an IPS display with a frequency of 144 Hz. That's great. There is a slight flickering when rendering almost all black screens, but that's to be expected. I will not take this as a disadvantage. Cons: It can get awkward near the WSAD keys, which I assume are on the GPU. I turned on the coolboost feature or whatever it's called and it helped. Cons: Bloatware. It took about 5 minutes to remove, but nobody likes viruses. Cons: Drivers out of the box are a joke. My network performance was terrible until several drivers and windows updates were installed. The drivers are extremely outdated (8+ months) out of the box. Neutral: The design language is typical of the disturbing 14-year-old, red and black, sharp corners and angry PREDATOR logos. I personally don't care, some might not like the loud performance. Neutral: PredatorSense Software: Allows you to easily overclock the 1060, which I did. You can also set fan curves. There are many third-party programs that already do all of this, but they're nice to try. Neutral: 2 Year Limited Warranty: I hope I don't need it. Not a big deal as I only use this for a few games to play at work, but it might be disabled for some. Overall, I'm glad I spent $1,200. I wouldn't pay a penny more, but most laptops in this tier are 1400+. If you need something for gaming on the go, cheap but sophisticated quality, then your laptop is here.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Speed
