Durable and good value

I got this mount for the new Samsung Galaxy S9+ and it's holding up great. From my limited use since it arrived, here's what I think of this mount: Pros: - Very adjustable. With an arm extension and ball joint on the mount itself, you have countless viewing angles and positions at your disposal. wireless charger It is convenient to be able to charge the phone directly in the stand without having to connect the cable every time. USB-C charging port. Everyone can decide that, but since my phones have been USB-C for a while, it's nice not having to switch cables. But more on that later. Cons: Wireless charging is finicky. By that I mean it's the charger/cable in my case. I tested it last night on my desk, after plugging it into a USB port on my computer with a cheap USB-C cable (without opening the one that came with it) and installing my phone in the mount, and got a fine . I got in my car this morning and plugged my Verizon USB-C fast charger into the mount, nothing. I expected this to be possible as the fast charger can take full advantage of the wireless connection. Unfortunately, now I can either plug the cable into the phone every time, which kills the convenience, or I can spend more for a USB port to plug in the cable. Of course, they are not expensive, but a little annoying. The mount is reliable, but with one caveat. As with any suction cup mount and longer arms, the phone should vibrate slightly as it attaches. I usually place mine at an angle to the edge of the dash to stabilize the phone and it does 95% of the time. However, the length of some phones means the top half offers a little less support, so the top wobbles a bit in my case. It's not bad, but if you look closely you can see it. Below is another reason. Small side arms. The side levers work well, as does the mechanism. Feels solid. However, it doesn't have much depth. Even with my S9+, which is a fairly thin phone, the hands holding it aren't very thick. They still hold the phone and it doesn't seem in any danger of falling out of the holder (the base clips are slightly curved to help with this). But it seems to me that another 1/8" depth might be better for more support. Also, they're pretty thin, whereas if they were a bit wider/thicker/tall, whichever way you look at it, that might help as well. Hold the phone a little less when shaking.Overall this is a really decent mount for the price and there are great options too.My situation isn't like everyone else and for the price it's hard to go wrong by let it go and see if it works for you.
