Very Limited

On the plus side, I learned a lot with this watercolor canvas. The downside is that I will never use it again. It may be cotton, but it doesn't behave like cotton. This canvas does not absorb moisture or paint at all. You can't layer paint because if you re-wet the canvas all the paint will peel off. Wet-on-wet mode doesn't work because it's not controllable; it just flows everywhere. When I finished my painting I was so concerned that the finish would deteriorate that I then waxed it. Unfortunately, while polishing the wax, tiny flakes of the painting began to come off. Ouch! I stopped immediately and left everything as it is. This is probably fine for a one coat wet-on-dry technique, but limits the beauty of using watercolor paints. I was quite skeptical about watercolor canvas, but the reviews were so good that I decided to give it a try. I don't regret it because I learned a lot, but I don't recommend it for what most watercolorists do.
