Review on 🧺 Honey-Can-Do Large Dual Laundry Hamper: Stylish Natural Resin Design with Lid by Cassandra Parkins

Great for my needs

Based on some reviews I was hesitant to order this basket. Unfortunately, my choices were *very* limited due to lack of space, so I had to do it. I'm glad I ordered it. Although he is quite weak, he works in my laundry. It's definitely not a portable basket. So if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. The basket comes folded in a tall slim box and all you have to do is unfold/expand and attach the top. Until you put the lid on, the basket will be very unstable, to the point where you might wonder why you bought it. Rschunimagu. When installed, however, it gives the entire construction a certain stability. The Velcro to attach the top runs through the entire back of the basket. There are 2 Velcro fasteners on the front for closing. I never guard the front; I just lower the lid. It's used so often that I don't feel the need to close it every time I slip it on. But there is a way to make it a little more accurate. The sides and divider are just thick cardboard covered in fabric, so it's not the most durable in the world. I've found that when the basket is full and someone puts more in and presses down on the clothes to close the lid, the walls start to bulge. A big no-no in my book as it looks like it will loosen the basket. Other people in my house are now instructed to put clothes on top of the basket when it's full so I know what to wash and the basket doesn't break. Be careful not to put too much weight on the top when it's empty as it may start to sink if there isn't a full basket. Each side holds almost 2 loads of regular laundry depending on the size of your machine. In addition to the cheapness of the sides, the bottom is also an issue. Not for me because I would never move it with clothes on, but it might be a problem for someone else. I uploaded a photo of the inside bottom of the basket. The only cover is just a thin fabric, no solid bottom. This is due to the folding function. There is quite a big gap in the fabric so you can see the bottom underneath the basket. If the car never moves, this shouldn't be a problem. Don't plan on being able to move this thing once it's loaded. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. It looks MUCH better in my laundry room than my 10 year old basket, which was one of those PVC frames with some mesh bags hanging from it. It was so unsightly and the frame never held together. At some point the mesh pockets also started to fall off the frame. I can't believe it took me so long to get a replacement. This basket is just right for my needs and looks neat. Just don't let it fill up too much or the sides will bulge and potentially weaken the structure. Also, do not put wet clothes in the basket as they will start to smell after a few days. The only problem I have with the shopping cart and many other products is that they are made in China. I don't mind buying imported goods as long as they come from a country that isn't known for its poor working conditions. It would be nice to find a decent affordable basket made in our country to support our people and economy. I appreciate this basket though and hope no one had to work in lousy conditions to make it.

Pros
  • 2 compartment laundry basket with lid
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
