I heard about this type of weighted blanket and also got a recommendation from a friend. So I decided on one and it was wonderful. I sleep so well and so soundly. I would say it took me about 3 nights to adjust to this extra weight but after that I started to sleep better. Even my wife says I hardly snore at night. The blanket is beautiful and well sewn with no gaps or skipped stitches. A good weight for this, and the recommended weights are proportional to the sleeper's weight. I also have a duvet cover to keep the comforter clean. It doesn't add too much warmth at all, ideal for the warmer months. I live in San Diego and it's usually warm there. Overall a good choice for a weighted duvet. And it's Amazon, just send it back if you don't like it. I go back to my local Kohl's most often and it's as easy as just standing in line and dropping it off. Done within 1 hour, get your money back.
