Edit/Update: NO The first took 16 months, the second 37 months. The OEM lasted >200 months so I will buy the OEM again. I still recommend lube π Attached is a video of me showing a broken Dorman grip and a new one that I ordered to replace. From now on I order OEM. ****** I agree with the rest, this is not a meat product. This is not an OEM upgrade unless you are replacing a defective part. IF YOU ARE REPLACING a broken part, do not skip this step: Purchase a long-life lubricant such as DuPont Teflon Anti-Stick Dry film prior to installation. Smear and spray whatever you can into the door, which may be the moving part attached to this handle. I ordered 2 of these and one on the passenger side; After failing to lubricate the first time, I encountered problems and didn't understand them until I broke the driver's side replacement. I guess I was only used to old Chevrolets with chrome handles opening with 20 pounds of force and I was amazed at how much lube made a difference. I think this reduced the pull force by 50% or more, which should make the spare (second) grip much longer.
