Fine in a pinch, but not the best option
I'll start by saying that the overall fit is good. I'm 5'5" 215lbs/ size 16 and I ordered an XL. The length brushed the floor so would not need hemming, maybe just modest heels. Comfortable & relaxed fit at waist/hips. Not snug in the chest. However, the sleeves hit just above my wrists- I could pull them up for a 3/4 sleeve look but the arms are really quite snug. The fabric is a bit like a glorified Halloween costume. It is thick without being particularly hot, but the sleeves don't have any air flow. I wouldn't choose to wear it here in Florida.I'm a professional violist so I purchased this for gigs and orchestral performances as the dress requires all black and sleeves at the elbow or longer. But for the price and the simplicity of this dress, it's not for me. I will be returning it for a refund.
