Review on Think Gizmos Portable Dishwasher Water by Stephen Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best suited for my RV Dishwasher

I have a 'bus' style RV - you know, sort of like a truck with a RV in the back, but a little bigger. Not so much, just about the size of buses for the disabled. It works for me but the sink really isn't big enough to hold all my dishes after cooking and yes I cook most of the food when I travel in an RV. I actually tried this dishwasher in my house fully hooked up to a hot water faucet and found it works great when you have a problem with your large dishwasher and are waiting for someone to come and fix it with this small one. The dishwasher can keep your dishes clean without having to stand over the sink. Well, as far as the RV goes, I boiled a pot of water outside, added some cool water and then poured the still hot water into the dishwasher tank and then plugged it in to wash the dishes. It's an extra step to heat the water, but it really wasn't a big deal since I was staying in my camp and the rocket stove was outside the RV. The rocket stove heats up quickly with just a few branches and has room for a large pot. The water boils fast enough that if I had a shorter extension cord I could put the Gizmo dishwasher next to the Rocket Stove, with the drain hose in a bucket underneath. That's maybe my normal setup - it's easier to eat, scrape up dirty dishes, put them straight into Gizmo and start rinsing right away. But most importantly I really like this little dishwasher and given the size of my camper van and the size of this dishwasher I had my doubts but after weighing the options (hand wash in a plastic tub because the sink in the camper is too small). ) I thought it was worth the risk on this machine. It was definitely worth it! Small enough to store away when not in use, highly portable and versatile, perfect for traveling!

Pros
  • Table top dishwasher
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
