So this product is amazing! Why? A little bit about me, I'm the first! Yes, I'm a guy who likes to do nails. However, I didn't want to get gel nails. I took my mom to the salon for Mother's Day to get her manicure and pedicure! She didn't want a manicure, and I've already ordered her with a reservation. All nail designers were moms too, so I felt uncomfortable taking money out of their pockets, especially on the eve of vacation, so I decided to add a manicure to my pedicure services. The nail artist wanted the best but either didn't realize how thin my nails were or was too busy with what was about to happen to realize that she had filed my nails paper thin. I didn't notice this as the gel polish I requested was quite thick and provided decent support or at least enough to prevent pain. After about a week I decided I needed to go back to my natural nails so I washed off the nail polish. When I did I found that the nail bed was so close to the top of the nail that it was unbearable. I'm not a nail tech but I know nails will grow back so I took some gels with good base and top coats and just applied them to add some structure. It was ok but didn't quite work as the nails were cracked under the cured gel. So I started looking for gel designers. I decided I needed a very thick, slow moving gel that would be a bit more flexible for my constant gel walking. However, I didn't want anything like cement on my nails because I've really never done that before. I decided I just needed the texture and thickness of a natural nail. I chose this product because it is a slower but still self-leveling gel. It was forgiving enough to allow me to restore my nails without sacrificing a sleek look. This gel was just what I needed. It's thick on the brush and you don't get a lot of gel on the brush when you do the dip, but it worked great. The only real downside to this product is the brush itself. I like that it has a cap that turns into a pen, but even if you put the protector on the brush the cap doesn't fit and dangles. The plastic collar is still there, but now too wide to really hold up. I put tape on it to keep it closed, but I'll be buying more brushes anyway so I don't worry about it too much. As for the forms, let's just say I'm a male and my fingers are a bit wider than most paper forms so they diverge and make the application really difficult, but I ended up filling out more forms. the application was removed after curing and i was able to give it a decent nail shape to look as natural as possible. The gel doesn't look good on its own so I had to add gel polish but I'm sure with more practice I can make it look better so it's not my product. All in all, whether you are just starting out or have been doing manicures for a long time, you will find that this product works well. I'm sure as they get better they will have the confidence to do more than one nail at a time, especially on their own, but I took my time and read the instructions. Note! HEAL IT IN 2 MINUTES! Instructions are included with the product, but are not listed on Amazon. I use an LED lamp and it worked just right. As for overcuring, I didn't notice any discoloration, cracking or overcuring after placing my nails in a lamp for 2 minutes. Going forward I will be removing and refilling the color until my nails are old enough to remove the product and do a full reapplication so I think this should take a good 6 weeks. It's been a few days now and I haven't noticed any product integrity issues. Some nails are thinner than others, but nail thickness does not affect the integrity of the application or product. All the nails are strong enough and don't hurt when I'm typing, writing or trying to pick something up, so I'm satisfied. I hope this review helps you in your decision.
