Review on Red Devil 3710 Graining Tool by Ronnie Staver

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love it. I will recommend.

My phone doesn't take photos with maximum color fidelity (close up matches color) but we have this great tool for adding wood texture to cement floors in our basement but then I got to my head Thought of having our large chunky built-in shelves in our living room as I originally wanted to clad them in wood but didn't want to build them up, this was a good decision for now while we are renovating our room. A house. Practice on something else first, and practice picking a color first! It took me 5 tries and 5 trips to the hardware store to get the right color. I ended up choosing a very light shade of yellow for the first layer, then a slightly darker shade of yellow/gold for the second layer because I wanted it to look like raw pine. Basement floors are getting darker. May be. I might as well change them before I'm satisfied. The smaller of the two tools is practically useless, it doesn't work as well as the larger one and you have to press really hard for it to leave grains or it will take away too much the other way. It was also difficult to get to the edge of the wall, I ended up having to do this with my fingers and a damp paper towel to try to get the drawing to the edges. In general, the tool is excellent, you just have to get used to it!

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Almost never
