I bought this with high expectations after reading the reviews. I have terrible allergies and on a budget so it looked great. But I took it out and set it up and it started and then shut off after 10 seconds. So I checked that the filter installed correctly, rebooted, the indicator turned blue and everything worked! about 30 seconds. I switched outlets to see if that was the cause. He ran for maybe a minute. The best I can do to get it going before the red light comes on is Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa - 2 minutes. Now it's just junk on my desk. I had hoped so much, but now I'm just bitter.
