At first I wasn't sure if this would work. It's very big and the chemical smell was bad as others have mentioned BUT overall I'm very happy now. I think the deal breaker was my cat using it. It took her about a week to get used to it and we trained her but every time she came in she got a treat. We only had to do this for a few weeks and now it's her favorite spot. Some people might think it's not warm enough, not warm at all, but we found it very thin. And remember, it doesn't get hot until the cat puts its weight on it, and then the literature specifically says it doesn't get hot on purpose. It looks great, very modern, easy to wash and I had no problem with the zipper connecting the two halves to make a full capsule like other people have done. It's a big risk for $50, but it worked well to keep cats from sleeping on our heads at night! I give it five stars apart from the really awful smell at the beginning.
