Received yesterday. I bought the beige without the heater and bought the heater separately (it was cheaper that way, you know). There was no problem zipping the two halves together or threading the heating cable where the zip ends. The bed is quite big in diameter but quite small in height. This seems like the perfect aspect ratio for cats, although my two snuggled into each other immediately.

I do not recommend this product for the simple reason that the chemical smell is TERRIBLE! It's so strong it makes me nauseous and I don't feel safe with my cat sleeping in this dome and smelling a strong odor from it. I love the idea of it but the chemical smell is just awful. At first I wasn't sure if this would work. It's very big and the chemical smell was bad as others have mentioned BUT overall I'm very happy now. I think the deal breaker was my cat using it. Update from 2/2/19: The pillow was washed a second time and fell apart (see photo). Also, I contacted the company to see if the heating pad could be used by their other products (which I had no problem with) and was told it could be used. When I responded to see if the rep replied that she was wrong that there is a 'special' pad that can be used for the heated capsule and this heating pad should NOT be used if you don't have them heated version like the pads buy different.
