Used on a year old Bose Wave IV single disc system that sometimes skipped and resolved the issue after one use. We live in high wind and dusty environments and I suspect if I tried this CD cleaner on our old Bose Wave II I wouldn't need to replace it. Simply insert a CD, label side up, into the player and listen to verbal instructions and music for about 30 seconds. When the music stops, skip to track 3 and soon the same voice will tell you that the cleaning is complete. At this point, you can either continue listening to the music on the disc or remove the disc. We heard a slight soft buzzing and clicking throughout the process, which took less than a minute. Note that you should not touch the underside of the disc when removing it, as the two tiny microfiber brushes located there will pick up oil and dirt from your hands. Store the disc in a jewel case and away from areas with extreme temperatures and humidity to keep it clean and in good working condition. it should last for years.
