Review on KitchenAid KEK1222PT 1 25 Liter Electric Kettle by Charles Chambers

MY FIRST REVIEW: wow. Seriously, this is one of the cutest, most amazing, and simplest teapots I've ever owned and it's my absolute favorite of all time. and I'm almost 50 :) I have nothing to say about that. this is a quality product. Operation is intuitive. I could easily keep it for the rest of my days. and barring one unforeseen weird malfunction I would buy another one to replace it. Simply a great all-purpose product. I definitely recommend it as a gift. There is also a wide range of colors. SUMMARY: I BOUGHT THIS KETTLE on July 22, 2017. IT NO LONGER WORKS TODAY (02/08/2020). I am very sad - I loved this teapot. The truth is that it was the workhorse in our kitchen. Use daily in the morning and often in the evening. I'm not sure how long I expected this desktop appliance to last, but it's been longer. I have to say that I still enjoy using it every day, the aesthetics still make me smile. On closer inspection there is a small melted defect on the base (I WILL SEND PHOTOS) but it's not near the connectors so I don't know if that's the reason or what. But now I need to make another purchase and I'm not sure what to do. I tried to contact kitchenaid via their live chat but it failed today so I emailed them and had to wait a few days to get a response. During this time I decide what to do. In fact I will most likely buy another one and give this little dynamo the benefit of the doubt. I can also try using a kettle on the stove, it's stainless steel after all. I still highly recommend this product. We are heavy use users and this would probably last another year or so with moderate/normal wear and tear.
