Broken Promises - AGAIN!

UPDATE: Rating changed to NO STARS. On October 21st, Brandon Kui from Rexing's advertising department contacted me with an offer to send me a replacement unit. This device has the features originally promised in the Revain product listing for the item I purchased in my original order. Communication was slow - for the next four days we exchanged emails, one reply per day, with me asking support questions and copying my Revains. Ordering information to ensure I receive the correct version of the V1P Pro that I originally ordered. Brandon seemed very obsessed with me updating my review. I told him I will if I have the opportunity to update the new model. On November 6th, I received another automated email requesting me to take advantage of this offer. I replied that we had already been in touch and asked about the status of my request from more than two weeks ago. He replied that he would look. Today is November 12th. and no answer. Instead of trying to fix it, it got worse. The only thing I could find out is that the V1P doesn't have a waterproof rear camera. My rear window is tinted so installing an external camera on the car seems like the only way out for me. I think there is another Rexing model that has this, but I can't get a straight answer. Disappointment! I've been trying to install Rexing V1P in my minivan for over 6 months. I needed a longer cable to run from the tailgate to the dashboard as the van is so long. I contacted Rexing twice and they said they would send an extension which they didn't. Now I read the negative reviews and I'm starting to believe them. Recently, I tried to solve the rear camera problem myself. #1 - Don't try to connect your own cable, it won't work. #2 - I found out that the camera has a 4 pin connector and needs a 4 pin connector on the camera (on the back of the car). Number 3. On the recorder side (front) I need a 3.5mm jack plug (not 2.5mm like most other camera manufacturers). I recently bought. I keep my fingers crossed that it will FINALLY work. If not, I'm willing to cut my losses and buy another camera after playing around with this one for over 6 months. To make matters worse, SOME of the V1Ps can access videos over Wi-Fi. Mine can't, even though the Revain list posts repeatedly that it's possible. I cut my losses with it and throw it in the trash.
