Great monitor for gaming and KVM!

Pros: - KVM is great! (Pros and Cons) - Looks amazing with lots of options (10-bit color, HDR600, QD display, 175Hz!) - Support was quick. I pocketed the ticket and in just over an hour they responded. (I was looking for firmware) - Came with all the cables I needed, a bit short but still plugged in nicely. Disadvantages: - Instructions are empty No detailed explanation of the settings. No firmware information (Gaming OSD app required). for setting up KVM alone, hope my review below helps, so the guide doesn't really explain anything - KVMo Initial issues (make sure monitor driver is installed on all machines and reboot monitor) but it works Well. Sleep problem - not waking up. with the mouse or keyboard. Once the computer goes to sleep or turns off the monitor, you can usually wake the computer up by moving the mouse or pressing the keyboard, but not this way. I had to connect a mouse to the computer to wake it up, or turning the monitor on and off helps. o Only ONE USB port….smdho I bought this monitor recently based on the sale price, I had intentions of getting a non-quantum display, I'm very glad I caught it on sale because I think so that he looks fantastic. There aren't many reviews for these new MSI monitors, so I want to contribute where I can. The monitor turned out to be pristine, with no dead pixels, bad glow, or IPS drops. First, make sure you download the monitor driver from their website and install it on all computers that will use this monitor. Also, get OSD gaming software so you can manage your display settings and profiles with your mouse and keyboard. One of my favorite features of this monitor is KVM. I have used another MSI gaming monitor with KVM before and fell in love with it so I was excited to use it on this one but I have one major downside...there is only ONE USB port on this monitor ! ONE! KVM stands for KEYBOARD video and MOUSE. How do I connect a keyboard and a mouse to the same USB? The previous MSI monitor had 2 USB ports so for some terrible reason it was decided to remove the much needed extra USB port. Fortunately, I can still use a powered USB hub to connect multiple devices to this KVM monitor. I didn't have an unpowered USB hub. So instead of the usual 2 built in USB ports for efficiency and a tidy look I now need more unnecessary cables and a box hanging from the monitor occupying another outlet for my backup battery, very ridiculous and that's my biggest complaint about the monitor. After getting a USB 2.0 hub ($13 from Best Buy), I was finally able to use my gaming laptop on this monitor. There are no guides or explanations for the settings, unfortunately it was very bare and couldn't find anything other than some youtube. Videos most of which had similar settings that I wanted to find out about. MSI makes great monitors but could definitely do better marketing and send them in for review. So you basically do the fine-tuning yourself, but there's a guy on YouTube who's shooting a three-part video on this monitor (his name isn't bios or anything). It helped me understand what settings to use based on his opinion and explanations. My outdated graphics card on my desktop couldn't maximize the beauty of this monitor, but my laptop certainly did, my COD game looks slick and awesome! I used some color settings from rtings.com for a similar MSI model to find a good one for a custom profile. Colors are rich and beautiful, and switching profiles with the Gaming OSD app is pretty easy. However, it does have a weird dimming option which I think is related to the HDR option, which really bothers me when a dark screen is displayed. I love bright screens with rich colors, so I like the default settings for Movie and RTS, but the YouTube guy didn't like them. This panel is great and I'm glad there was a sale so this monitor caught my eye, I find it easily competes and better priced with some of the more expensive Gigabyte monitors. The KVM setup was weird for me as I didn't know what to expect, but USB C offers video/keyboard/mouse and whatever else I plug into my hub.... to another computer. My laptop doesn't have Thunderbolt, but it still works and runs at 100% at maximum display settings. You need to connect the USB-B cable to your computer (my desktop in my case). Overall I'm very happy with this monitor so I ordered a new graphics card for my desktop (damaged my bank account lol). MSI really needs to work on their marketing, they have a great product but due to the lack of feedback no one will know about it.
