I have bought nylon leashes in the past but they don't last very long. The last one I bought was one of the best rated and only lasted 2-3 months. I use these lines as a tie because I don't have a good fence setup. My Bull Terrier is very strong and will sometimes chase creatures out of range and it's like running with a cannonball. The nylon line just breaks and she comes free. NOT GOOD! After much research I found this perfect guide for my situation. I asked and they told me it's 99% biothane and biothane wires are twice the price and you can't find more than 40 feet long. They use Biothane to train horses. This leash is much stronger than nylon but more flexible and doesn't tangle or snag as much. It is heavier than nylon but not as heavy as steel cable. I expect it to last a long time and is highly recommended for larger vigorous breeds.
