Review on KHSUIN Multicolor Assistant - Dimmable Equivalent by Jared Perry

I'm not new to this stuff. I have many devices from different companies. These are Hsuin's first (never heard of them). Received these pears today. I already had the Smart Life app installed on my phone so I launched it and followed the procedure. These lights seem to want you to turn them on and off a few times to put them in blinking mode for pairing. Fair enough. I have a Synology RT2600ac router. (5+2.4 GHz with autoswitch and a name). Everything has always worked. The documentation is VERY bad. The first challenge (as always with this app) was figuring out which device to actually click on to start this pairing process. For me, the most versatile devices worked best. I was able to get my first lightbulb to successfully pair with other -> other. But it wasn't easy. It was VERY hit or miss. Most of the time it sat on the "scan for devices" step and timed out. But from time to time it randomly switched to "registration in the cloud". When he did, the lightbulb always went out completely and I was fine. I believe the problem could be the registration of these lamps on the cloud servers. If they don't respond, the process won't work. If yes, then. It's patchy, I can't do anything about it, and it's incredibly frustrating. You might even see it listed as a device on the router. But the app on the phone just won't get through "setup". Disappointing. But eventually it will happen. I just have to keep trying until I cast the spell. Unfortunately, I haven't used them in a while to comment on their effectiveness as lightbulbs.
