Review on Mesh Office File Organizer With 4 Sliding Trays - Desk Organizer For Documents, Mail, Paper, Letters & Files Holder & Sorter by Tyler Fountas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Attractive useful organizer. Easy to assemble. Wire mesh is a bit thin and flimsy

Pros:• It organizes stuff and vertically stacks thing for more efficient desk space• 3 shelves and a back vertical area for storage/organization• Rubber feet to protect desk surface• Attractive matte black finish and wire mesh designCons:• Metal mesh is a bit thin and flimsy• No assembly instructions providedThis mostly does what it claims. It provides an area to organize all the paper detritus that always seems to arrive and accumulate that defies a way to dispose or file. Without this it ends up in messy piles on the desk. The organizer is mostly composed of a wire mesh that forms all the shelves, the divider, and the sides. This works, and should be sturdy enough unless you put a lot of weight on it. I have other similar organizer products from a major office supply store also made of wire mesh, but that mesh is much thicker and sturdier than this product. Once assembled the side rails makes it reasonably sturdy though. I wouldn’t advise putting anything very heavy on but it should be fine for papers, bills and similar. The product arrives unassembled. No assembly instructions of any kind were provided. It was still fairly easy to assemble. There is a main section, 2 slide in shelves, a slide in rear divider, a support bar, and screws. The main section has multiple sides all connected with hinges. Just fold the hinges into the shape of the organizer. Install 2 screws through the side walls in the support rod attached to the rear mesh. A small screwdriver is included, but I used a drill. The screws need to thread the inside of the rod and take a bit of effort to drive. Then use 2 remaining screws to attach the front support rod to the two side walls. I had 2 spare screws included. Now insert the two shelves in the front. I inserted them with the cutout in front, and the support notch facing down. There is a track that these just slide into. Insert the rear divider vertically similarly in the rear track. I had the cutout area facing up. I have included assembled photos with this review that may help. The size is a bit on the larger side (13” W x 12 ½ D x 9 ¼” H) but allows stacking paper, file folders, and other lightweight items vertically without piles that look unsightly and fall over. No matter how much I attempt to dispose of, or file, there always seems to be some papers I need to keep on the desk for some reason. This helps organize them. There really isn’t much else to say about this. The metal mesh is a bit thin and flimsy as compared to some other similar organizer products I have in a similar style, but should be sufficient to get the job done.
