Supplement after a few months of use. I hate this speaker system. I'll keep using it because I'm stubborn and paid money for it, but I hate it. The "automatic shutdown" when it doesn't find enough input is the most annoying. It's not very responsive, so the speaker only mutes when the audio is quiet. If there is no way to change this feature, DO NOT BUY a set of computer speakers. PRO: The sound quality is pretty good, even for a 3.5mm connection. You won't find better quality for the price, especially with a passive woofer. CONS: As mentioned, it uses a 3.5mm connector. The included cable is tiny, not the best situation for a home PC. I grabbed a 6 foot cable that was lying around, but had to force it in because the port on the device is too close to the sides for a normal connection. The soundbar does this too, muting the audio output if it doesn't detect an input but the tolerance is too high. I have to turn up the computer volume to turn on the soundbar and then turn down the volume. Annoying feature.3/5. I'm sticking with this soundbar, maybe even upgrading from 3.5mm to optical input, but won't be buying it again. The sad thing is that it replaced the old Creative 5.1 system I had for over 10 years.
