You can stream 4k over a single USB-C cable if you turn the brightness down. I use surface book. This is draining my computer's battery pretty quickly. The only drawback is the lid. I would have liked only one side cover to keep the weight down and make it easier to stand. It also has an extra flap when the monitor is folded up, which takes up desk space. I also have a 1080p portable AOC and it has my cover art of choice. Unfortunately it is not possible to change covers. The reason I chose 4k is because the Microsoft Outlook preview window requires almost a full screen preview and all your titles. I couldn't find 1440 or the ones I found were more expensive.
