This antenna did not affect the reception quality of the thin and stylish Wilson 4G stand. In fact, the 4G stand didn't improve reception at all. I had the opportunity (and time) to check reception on a long hike up the mountains. After turning the device on and off (with this antenna), disconnecting and reconnecting the antenna, I couldn't tell any difference in speed or reception strength. No change in signal strength or reception speed was detected when using Open Signal. I also checked this behavior in my Android phone's system settings. I've been in different 1x, 3G and 4G zones and haven't noticed any improvement. I also made sure to move the antenna around in different places on the car and when the car was off. I wanted to make sure my hardware wasn't causing any problems. Since there was no difference in reception with or without the antenna connected, I cannot conclude that the device is usable and worth the money. I am a radio amateur and an electrical engineer.
