I bought this to protect myself from losing those who might have had to obey. When they're around I turn it on, it's very simple with a nice big button, and when they're not around I press that button again to turn it off. Nice blue indicator light; calming and soothing. The battery lasts several days when switched off. The brush at the top where the negative ions come out is pretty safe, I only occasionally get "pinched" by this thing and I just move it away from where it connects to my body. Color and shape are intuitive and comfortable. I'm just suggesting two hangers instead of one so the device doesn't tip over and hide the light on your chest so you can see at a glance if it's on or off without touching it. The black strap is a smart choice for regular use.
