depends on what happens to it.

i put my phon on roof of car, forgot drove off, went back trackin when i couldnt find it,found in the road, the case saved bottom part of phone, it was still in it, but phone had no face, screen or upper part of case,found the plastics, foil like paper layers of what ever goes in phone but to upper part of case or screen, so guess it sorta worked, it all dependes on what happens to it,
