Review on Panasonic RB-M300B Wireless Bluetooth Headphones: Immersive Deep Bass with XBS DEEP and Bass Augmentation (Sand Beige) by Abdirahman Mensah

Revainrating 3 out of 5

ANC Cancels the XBS function.

Panasonic RB-M700B has 2 advertised features XBS Bass (Enhanced Boomy Bass) and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Bass. These headphones are disappointing in many ways. The ANC feature is toggled on and off with the switch on the right earcup along with all other controls. The XBS function has 4 levels. Off/Low/Medium/High. Bass is a type of punch subwoofer that is gaining popularity. The next models I compare with are Sony wh-xb900n or Skullcandy Crusher ANC. So the really bad and most important fact is that if you have XBS on, any bass that it achieves will be completely cut off when ANC is on. This is the most ridiculous ANC feature for bass headphones. The sound is significantly warmer than the other two headphones mentioned. Especially high frequencies (high) are not bright. That's not my style. If you like the muted sound from 2-16kHz and want some bass, this could be the model for you. I personally find this model overpriced for such disappointing ANC bass headphones. If you like warm, open-air sound with a reasonable bass boost, I'd recommend the lower-end RM-M500B. This model does not have active noise cancellation and battery life is expected to be longer. These are big, bulky headphones that don't fold in any way and don't come with any kind of case. Your money is much better spent on feature-packed Sonys, or if you want rumbling bass, go for the Skullcandy Crusher ANC. I've listened to all headphones with Premium Tidal, Deezer HIFI and Spotify. I personally can't decide between Sony and Crusher ANC, so I have both for different listening experiences. I would categorically avoid this whole new line of headphones from Panasonic.
