The brush head itself is pretty good, the bristles are pretty hard and you can clean it if needed. The problem is that at over 6ft tall I actually had to lengthen and get a much smaller angle to get the bristles moving across a semi-rough surface. It's a little hard to explain, but the straighter the shaft is to the ground, the easier the bristles move. They don't have much angle to them. I've used them on dog crate mats (similar to stable mats) and at my height I couldn't use the brush in a very comfortable position. If the angle was too great, the brush would not move, at least when there is NO downward force being applied to the "scrubbing". Luckily I only had to do a few, but doing more would have smoked my back. At the same time, I thought I was going to break it at a high angle, and it held up perfectly, just not a step. The bar is quite stiff and stronger than I expected. The mop works well too and the extra nozzle is a good option but I didn't use it.
