Tiny Defective Hoops: My V-Shaped Cartilage Piercing Report

When I first saw these tiny V-shaped earrings, I was drawn to their delicate design and promise of 925 Sterling Silver quality. They looked perfect for adding a touch of sparkle and style to my second ear piercing without being too flashy or heavy. However, my experience with these earrings has left me with mixed feelings and a tepid rating of 3 out of 5 stars. What I liked: The V-rings fit snugly and comfortably in my cartilage piercing, which was a relief since I've had bad experiences working with hoops that either pinch easily or slip. The gold lace design also looked elegant and unique, adding a touch of personality to my ears. The crystals on the hoops were small but shiny and reflected the light beautifully at right angles. What could be better: Unfortunately, the quality of the earrings did not meet my expectations. Although advertised as 6mm in diameter, the tires looked smaller in person and felt fragile. I could easily bend the latch and be afraid that sooner or later it would break. The crystals also fell off one of the hoops after only wearing it for a couple of hours which was a huge disappointment. The gold color of the tires also struck me as a bit odd, more copper colored than real gold, but that might be a matter of personal preference. Overall I think these tiny V shaped earrings have potential but need some improvement. If you prefer comfort and unique designs to durability and quality, you might like these earrings. They're fine for me and I probably won't wear them as much as I was hoping.

Pros
  • My helix is on the right side and I wanted it to face down but unfortunately it can't.
Cons
  • Tiny. Couldn't get it to my cartilage or earlobes
