Yes It Works - Computers & Accessories

We originally purchased the TB16 docking station for use with newer Dell laptops such as the Latitude 74xx and up and newer XPS models. TB16 is terrible. Then we tried it. In short: IT WORKS. There were no special drivers, no special setup - just plug it in. Unlike other docking stations, it has no moving parts or fans. It's small, has lots of ports, works well, and just works. You can use dual digital monitors (meaning you're not tied to 1 DVI and 1 VGA like previous Dell docks) by using one HDMI port and one miniDVi port. Of course there are resolution limits, as with anything else you can check the specs on Dell's website to see what resolutions are supported. This comes with a 130W power adapter, but you can really use any Dell power adapter that has enough power for all your tasks. . Just add the numbers and subtract the power for the dock itself (around 40W). If you have a Dell laptop, that one supports MAC address pass-through, which is good for business, so you can do MAC address filtering on your switches or whatever. may work on other computers with USB-C, but there's no guarantee on which ones. We tested it and it worked on newer Macbook/Macbook Pro models and some other 3rd party laptops. I didn't notice any problems with the quality. no video lag, no connection issues, network issues, docking/undocking issues. Nothing. It just works.
