Bought two of these. Neither of them make a solid connection at the outlet, so the sound is static or non-existent. Gently shake the headphone jack and it will connect but disconnect at the slightest movement. I didn't try them until after the return window, so I'm stuck. They should be produced according to a standard so that all brands work together. you missed. REVISION - Didn't notice at first, but when plugged in, it took a lot of force to fully seat the plug in the socket. Once this is done, the connection is fine. Never before has it been so difficult to connect a headphone jack. So maybe not to spec. but fully functional. You don't have to worry about accidentally unplugging it. It will probably break with the cable first!
