I have tried lots of different mats, and this one so far is the best. It does not seem to be slippery at all. I have been using it for a month or so now. Hopefully it holds up better than others.

This suits me very well, I got the evergreen color. It was the only one that showed with Prime shipping at the time. I thought it might be ugly but it's really not! My fancy yoga studio uses Hugger Mugger and sells it for double the price of Best Buy. I purchased this mat because another mat that I was using started coming apart shortly after using it in heated yoga. This mat has been perfect thus far. It doesn't smell that bad, it doesn't slide and it has not come apart. So far I am happy and even happier that I got it for such a steal.

This is the third mat I've bought from this line. I find them to be just the right amount of padding for comfort without sacrificing balance. Also, have a good nonslip surface.

While I really like the length, color, and thickness of the this mat that's where the good qualities end. This mat is slippery. Not something you want when it comes to a yoga mat. I don't know what coating this company puts on their mats or why but they might as well have coated them in butter. I've had this for a couple of years now and use it 4 to 5 times per week. Looks like new. Can easily get a good grip. Easy to clean and no nasty off gassing.

I like the width (a little extra width, compared to most mats). It is also a nice length. I am 5' 5" and I have plenty of room. I love the thickness, as it helps to cushion the knees and back side. The color is also pleasing. I have only had it a short time, so it is not quite sticky enough yet, when I am sweating, but I think it will be soon, and it still does the job. I let it air out a couple of days after reading other reviews, and it did the job for my mat. I would definitely buy it again.

Based on the reviews here on Best Buy, I asked Santa for this mat for Christmas. I chose the 1/4" over 1/8" thick mat and so happy I did. I want to start by saying that I bought this mat in 2012 (!) It's still in great condition and I'm really happy with the quality. It's durable for sure, it's been with me to 3 continents with no problems. I am a yoga teacher. When I ordered this mat I thought it was beautiful, and who could resist the name "Hugger Mugger"? But the first time I used the mat I found it was EXTREMELY slippery - I couldn't hold a pose! I was very grateful I chose to try it out at home instead of in front of one of my classes. being new to yoga, I'm extremely glad I got this mat. it's easy to stretch into the poses with the excellent grip. the plastic-ky smell lasted only shortly + didn't bother me. only thing is that I wish it came 3 inches longer + wider because I run out of space on some stretches. gorgeous looking yet works so well. what a great buy!

The mat has good cushion, is a pretty color but feels a little "plastic” to the touch and is slippery. I am hoping it will "break in”.

I really like this mat! It's not only pretty, but is very soft and comfortable, and is a good length (I'm 5'9"). It does have a slight smell when you first take it out of the box, but it went away after a day. The other reviews grossly exaggerate the extent of the smell, I didn't even have to wash mine.
