I got my first Hugger Mugger Ultra mat over two years ago and decided it was time to replace it after lots of hours of practice which had reduced the cushion loft and even left deeply imprinted foot marks.I'm just as pleased with the replacement mat which is also a bit longer than my original mat (a nice bonus). I love the extra cushioning- it makes a huge positive difference for my comfort, and my joints are happy, too!I have tried several different mats as a spare through the years and have returned them all- Hugger Mugger can't be beat. Some were too heavy, got stinky, smelled like rubber, or were slippery. This one is just right! This mat is my safe haven for yoga practice and I rely on it.I practice Bikram Yoga about three times a week, so combining this mat with a Yogitoes skidless yoga towel is a win-win. I've washed the mat with mild dish soap to start the wearing-in process, and spray it down with a lavender oil/water mist after each class. This keeps the squeak and the stink down. If you have sweaty hands like I do- not a big problem in Bikram, since everything is sweaty- I would suggest adding a yoga towel to minimize slippage. A great value, with comfort and longevity- it's the perfect yoga mat!
