Review on MikroTik Routerboard RB2011 UiAS-2HnD-IN with SFP Port and 10 Ethernet Ports by Sirirat Benjakalyani ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

In fact, for this money we get a full-fledged corporate-level router, with very good functional and hardware capabilities. You can customize almost any Wishlist - at least write your own scripts and additions! In fact, there is a regular Linux kernel. For management, there are options like: a web muzzle, WinBox (this is a special application that comes with a router) and the usual command line like Linux. The most convenient and frequently used of this WinBox is, in my opinion, this administration utility distinguishes this router from its competitors very favorably. We replaced a bunch of all sorts of netgear + hubs with this router. Actually, immediately we got excellent WiFi which with netgear, even with an external good antenna that was bought separately, it was not possible to reach + MikroTik capabilities resolved the issue of channel reservation (when the main one was turned off) + The issue of banner networks was resolved + The issue of channel truncation for all social networks was resolved and video / audio content + logging and proxy server, too, everything is on the router - all the features out of the box! + I want to organize a network share on it + back up important files and databases and all this with the capabilities of this router (although my hands still won’t reach). About 30 computers go through it (local + WiFi users in a neighboring building, breaks through several walls of a house and a street) - and the router is only 6-10% loaded) in my opinion beauty! The ratio price / quality / functionality is the best on the market! True, because of the dollar, it began to cost 2 times more expensive, but still it is 100% worth its money. I advise everyone, though initially be prepared to deal with its settings, since there are a lot of manuals in 2022 on the Internet

Pros
  • 1. The widest possibilities 2. Price! 3. Long Range WiFi 4. A bunch of different inputs / outputs 5. Pleasant appearance with a touch screen that can display various information or graphics, but if it interferes, you can simply turn it off 6. Build Quality 7. Stability of work (a year has passed since the purchase and it has never turned off or rebooted, it works 24/7)
Cons
  • If you do not understand what protocols are and how they function, how NAT and Firewall work, then you cannot configure this router or it will be used by 5% - but this is not a drawback, it is rather a warning to those who are chasing the power of their router without understanding why is it for him
