Instructions say to use 1/2 sachet per filler. I used 1/3 of the pack, everything works. Although it eliminates the litter box smell, outside of the litter box it will stick to your cat's feet leaving your cat's paws gray (I have a white fluffy cat) and if you step on it it will leave black marks on your floor if you step on any type of charcoal, for example, and don't use white bath mats if your litter is kept in the bathroom with this material, as it will turn them gray due to the charcoal being pursued by your cat outside the box and accidentally into it gets stuck to the feet and/or socks/slippers and then walk on the white bath mats. Silly me! So be careful. It works BUT leaves marks and stains on carpets, rugs, floors and cat paws.
