I can't imagine how much paper and plastic goes into making takeaway boxes every year. The waste is breathtaking. So I was happy to find a grocery box that could be reused. They're a familiar size and shape, but made from more durable materials and are recyclable. It took a few tries to see the box close and be aware that they are not airtight. I don't rate them any lower because they aren't meant to replace Tupperware, just takeaway boxes. The hinge is strong and should last quite a while, but without destructive testing I'm not sure how many hundreds of cycles it will last. will survive. Of course, that's enough to offset the waste created by the number of take-away boxes it replaces. The device was easy to clean and withstood the microwave without any problems. I wouldn't cook in it, but reheating isn't a problem. It does what it's supposed to and is a more sustainable alternative to the wasteful things we do now.
